Artist’s Statement
I sculpt animals in a wide variety of materials: clay, stone, wire, and forged and recycled metal.
Recently I have experimented with carved polystyrene and mosaic.
My ceramic work is figurative so I love the creative process of seeing a potential creature in discarded implements and tools and the challenge of welding and forging the metal to achieve a satisfying result. ’.
